Friday night bunco game

Once a month, a group of girlfriends get together to play Bunco - a game of dice, played in rounds. Players take turns rolling the dice and trying to accumulate as many points as possible to win each round. The game itself is fairly mindless, it is more of social event, where all the girls get together to drink, talk about kids, jobs, etc. We take turns hosting the event, where the host prepares dinner and provides drinks.
Last Friday’s Bunco game was hosted by Linda. She just moved in to her new home in Stapleton, which used to be the home of Denver’s airport before it moved out to the plains. Stapleton is now one of nations largest urban redevelopment areas. Unlike the most suburban developments, houses in Stapleton are colorful and have lots of character. Best of all, it’s only ten minutes away from downtown.

Here is a picture of Linda’s living room.

For the Bunco game, Linda prepared homemade quiche, a great salad, wine and lots of snacks that are bad for our figures. The game moved along pretty fast. At end of each round, losers/winners exchange partners and tables. Kristy won the most number of games, Linda won the most rounds, and Hyounmi won the most Funcos. Winner walk away with prizes, while the rest of us are just happy to be part of the game.
