Golf at Kennedy

In preparation for the GE family and friend golf tournament next Saturday, Charlie, our friend Gary and I went to the Kennedy Golf course this evening to get some practice. Gary is good golfer who plays almost every weekend during the summer. I took some lessons from him a few years ago, but haven’t played for almost three years, still a total beginner. Charlie is an ok golfer, but he also hasn’t played for almost a year.
We had a great 9-hole round. Gary hit several impressive 300 yard drives straight down the fairway and finished with five pars. Charlie also hit a few impressive long drive, but the ball didn’t seem to like the fairway much, but only finished 4 strokes behind with two pars and a birdie. I can’t hit the ball very far, but finished only with one par, thanks to an amazing 50 foot long put on the 9th hole. I was absolutely thrilled to make the put and tie the boys for the hole.
